Futures Testbed, BTexaCT Stuart Prevost joined BT as a Trainee Technician Apprentice at BT Laboratories in 1987. He has spent most of his career until recently in the Optics Research Division. His early work involved providing technical support for the team that developed the Erbium doped fibre amplifier. Stuart now works for the Futures Testbed within BTexaCT, which provides strategic design leadership for the new-wave BT Group and its affiliates. He has been actively involved in IPv6 from an early stage when the 6bone was created and now leads BT's IPv6 ISP Trial. His work involves the practical evaluation of IPv6 equipment, demonstrating the capabilities of new networking concepts and routing technologies. He was also responsible for BT's successful application for IPv6 address space from RIPE. |
