Martin Hills is Director of Business Development at Ericsson's UK subsidiary. He joined Ericsson in 1988 and was initially responsible for the UK Telecom software development. He then moved to be Director of Technology where he lead the team defining the UK requirements for the multi-service ENGINE switch and then set up the UMTS introduction programme. He is now involved in the Service Network and applications market development for the mobile internet. His previous employment was with ITT where his responsibilities included software development for an early digital exchange and software development tools and technology. He was educated at Oxford where he read physics. He is a Chartered Engineer, a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical Engineers and a Member of the British Computer Society. He is a member of the Industrial Advisory Group for the School of Engineering at Sussex University. |
