Jens E. Kristensen has since 1/7/2000 been the Head of Competence Center Research of Ericsson Telebit A/S. From 1996 to 2000 he worked as a Scientific Officer in the ACTS (Advanced Communication Technologies and Services) Programme and the IST (Information Society Technologies) Programme. Specific technical areas of work included: service architectures, middleware, service creation, communication management, information brokerage, advanced services and applications, and information and network security. Before joining the European Commission Jens worked as a Computer Scientist in the Software Engineering Group of TeleDanmark Research. Jens received an M.Sc degree in computer science in 1991 and a bachelors's degree in mathematics in 1988 from the University of Aarhus.
