Fumito Kubota received a B.E. degree from the Keio University in 1974. He joined Radio Research Laboratories, Ministry of Posts and Telecommunications (presently Communications Research Laboratory). Since then, he has been involved in the research on mobile communication systems and next-generation networks. From 1982 through 1983, he engaged in digital mobile communication at Nancy University in France. Currently, he has been the Chief of the Communication Network Section at CRL. Concurrently functions in the capacity of Guest Professor at the National Institute of Multimedia Education (NIME) since 1995 and at the Japan Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, Hokuriku (JAIST) since 1999. He is a member of IEEE and IEICE Japan. | |
